Bike Paths
There are a number of bike paths in the Village that connect to path systems maintained by surrounding municipalities allowing you and your family to stay active and explore the area’s beautiful outdoor scenery.

Bird e-scooters
The Village has partnered with Bird to provide e-scooters in our community. These eco-friendly scooters can be located and activated through Bird’s mobile application. Riders should always obey traffic signals and watch for cars, pedestrians, and cyclists. Scooters must be parked out of the way of pedestrians and never block sidewalks, ramps, doorways, or driveways. Riders must be at least 18 years old and are encouraged to wear a helmet.

The Village of Machesney Park participates in regional transportation planning efforts conducted by the Region 1 Planning Council, a special-purpose regional government agency serving the Northern Illinois region. For more information about the Region 1 Planning Council, visit r1planning.org.
