Attorney Tom Green serves the Village of Machesney Park as its senior attorney.  Mr. Green is a partner with Barrick, Switzer, Long, Balsley & Van Evera, LLP and joined the firm in 1985 after spending one year as a law clerk in the Federal Bankruptcy Court under the Honorable Richard N. DeGunther, Northern District of Illinois, Western Division. Attorney Green concentrates his law practice in the following areas: municipal law, land use and zoning, real estate transactions, debtor/creditor, and corporate law.

Attorney Green’s education background includes: J.D., Northern Illinois University College of Law (1984) — B.A., Wisconsin-Eau Claire (1980)

Attorney Green is active in the community and has served on several volunteer boards and currently serves on the Board of Harlem Community Center. His outside interests include participating with his children in hockey and volleyball, skiing, golf, and NASCAR.
